Cuba reports 107 new COVID-19 cases and no deaths.

At this Sunday close, 107 people tested positive for COVID-19, after 2,388 samples were taken for surveillance during the day, informed the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) in its usual report.

With these figures, Cuba accumulates 14 036 595 samples made and 1 108 201 were positive.

As of July 31st, 739 persons were admitted: 292 suspects and 447 active confirmed cases. Of the latter, 440 (98.4%) have a stable clinical evolution, while one patient is in critical condition and six are evaluated as serious.

There were 106 medical discharges during the day (accumulating 1,099,166, 99.2%) and no deaths were reported, so the cumulative number of people who have lost their lives due to COVID-19 remains at 8,529, for a case fatality rate of 0.77% (1.11% worldwide and 1.63% in the Americas).
