Cuba does not register deaths and reports 130 new cases of COVID-19

At the close of yesterday, November 28, 3,417 patients were admitted, 2,393 suspects, 161 under surveillance and 863 confirmed active, as reported in a television conference by Dr. Francisco Durán García, national director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).

For COVID-19, a total of 16,905 samples were carried out for surveillance during the day, with 130 being positive. The country accumulates 11 million 083 thousand 208 samples carried out and 962 thousand 350 positive.

Of the 962 thousand 350 patients diagnosed with the disease, 863 remain hospitalized, of them 838 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,300 deaths (0 in the day), fatality of 0.86% vs 1.99% in the world and 2.43% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, on the day there were 192 discharges, 953 thousand 130 recovered patients accumulate (99.0%).

25 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 13 of them critical and 12 seriously ill.

No deceased patients were reported on the day.

Until November 28, 191 countries and 32 territories with cases of COVID-19 are reported, it amounts to 261 million 657 thousand 48 confirmed cases (+ 513 thousand 989) with 20 million 114 thousand 711 active cases and 5 million 216 thousand 375 deaths ( + 5 thousand 911) for a lethality of 1.99% (-0.01).

 
In the Americas region, 97 million 707 thousand 16 confirmed cases (+ 56 thousand 50) are reported, 37.34% of the total cases reported in the world, with 10 million 679 thousand 372 active cases and 2 million 370 thousand 802 deaths (+ 950) for a fatality of 2.43% (=).
