In the words of our apostle, the importance of education for the human being is evident. All people who aspire to a healthy life for their children must promote the cultivation of intelligence, knowledge, creativity and the development of values ??that make possible the improvement of each citizen. 

The purpose of Youth and Adult Education is to: contribute to the young and adult population of the different sectors of society, acquire the necessary knowledge, develop skills, habits, values ??and attitudes that allow them to continue studying for their training or professional advancement; in correspondence with their material and spiritual needs and cognitive interests; essential components in training for productive participation in political, economic and social development. 

Levels of youth and adult education.          

  1. Workers and peasant education.
  2. Workers and peasant secondary.
  3. Workers and peasants faculty.
  4. Language teaching for workers. 

We are a methodological team with the responsibility of assisting methodologically the management structures of educational institutions; as well as the teachers’ training in different subjects.             

We have a network of 29 centers in the Province: 19 are FOC, 3 pure correctional centers, 7 Language schools; we also have 10 FOC annexes, 2 prisons and 2 Language schools. In this course we have a staff of 29 directors of centers, 111 permanent teachers and 278 hired teachers. 

What do we do? 

Educate youth and adult students of the Faculty of Workers and Peasants (FOC) in the value of identity; so that they act as researchers and be protagonists of past and present history; in the interactive and complex space the community is. 

Priorities for the course at the EDJA. 

  1. The Improvement of youth and adult education.
  2. The ideological-political work in the formation of a revolutionary conscience.
  3. The methodological work in raising the class quality.
  4. Work with undergraduates.5- Language schools.
  5. Preparation courses to enter higher education. Attention to students of the Order 18.
