The Electric Union informs:

Yesterday the service was affected by capacity deficit throughout the day. The Antonio Guiteras CTE unit joined the system at 6:19 p.m. yesterday. The maximum affectation in peak hours was 549 MW at 9:00 p.m., at 01:21 a.m. today, the service was restored.

It is estimated that as of 08:00 hours the service will begin to be affected due to a deficit in generation capacity with a maximum of 200 MW..

Units 6, 7 and 8 of the CTE Máximo Gómez, the CTE unit Otto Parellada, unit 6 of the CTE Diez de Octubre and unit 5 of the CTE Antonio Maceo are out of service due to breakdowns.

Unit 2 of the CTE Lidio Ramón Pérez is under maintenance. Limitations on thermal generation (525 MW) are maintained. In distributed generation, 1,108 MW are unavailable due to breakdown and 416 MW are undergoing maintenance.

For peak hours, the completion of the CTE Antonio Guiteras unit is forecast, contributing 15 MW, the entry of unit 6 of the CTE Diez de Octubre with 100 MW and the use of 273 MW in diesel engines.

With this forecast, an availability of 2,713 MW and a maximum demand of 2,820 MW are estimated for peak hours, for a deficit of 107 MW, so if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 180 MW is forecast at the peak.

All consumption restriction measures are implemented in the state sector.
