Almost 9,000 polling stations are already set up in Artemisa with a view to the Referendum on the Family Code on September 25, while we work to increase that number with the collaboration of those who provide their homes for this function, said Vilma Zamora Hernández, president of Provincial Electoral Commission.

More than 17,000 young people who have reached the age of 16 and are in full enjoyment of their political and civil rights will exercise their right to vote for the first time. In conjunction with the provincial directorate of Education, the UJC, the FEEM and the FEU, special attention is paid to these boys, who will receive prior preparation, added Zamora Hernández.

The Provincial Electoral Commission prioritizes the completion and training of electoral structures at all levels, as well as members of auxiliary groups for information processing, supervisors and collaborators.

Zamora commented that they have developed pilot tests of the computer system, another priority along with the preparation, printing and distribution of the necessary documents. From August 15 to 30, the voter lists will be published and verified, she declared.
