Requirements to enter a grandparents’ house: 

• Be 60 years of age or older.
• Not to suffer from infectious-contagious diseases, which necessarily require hospital care at that time.
• Do not suffer from illnesses that require hospital care at that time, due to pathologies with danger to life in a short term.
• Not to present (as a consequence of long-standing psychiatric illnesses), behavioral disorders that may alter the institution's rules of coexistence; or represent a high risk for the occurrence of violent behavior that affects both: its residents and workers.
• Residents with serious social problems, and those with or without physical or cognitive impairment; who do not have possibilities of other care options, or who want the temporary use of the institution to improve their function; will be admitted.
