Artemisa

Brief news on “Artemiseño” sports: 

• The Artemisa women's football team finished the western qualifying stage; and waits for the repechage at the end with a victory balance against the Isle of Youth by 8 goals to zero; victory against Pinar del Rio by 8 goals to 1, and fell before the girls from Havana by 0 to 1.

• Weekends continue with the National Football Closing Tournament. Artemisa visits Havana on Saturday 7th. On Saturday 14th they receive Villa Clara at “Bombonera”, San Cristóbal; and on Saturday the 21st they travel to Granma. Thus,they are ending the 1st round of the National Football Closing Tournament.

• This Saturday, Artemisa's school football receives its similar from Isle of Youth in the field of Jupiña, Guanajay.

Karting Cup at COCOMAR 2020. On the Salado track, the speed races started, this year with the electric motorcycle mode; something unprecedented in these races. 

The competition is sponsored by the Federation of Motocross and Castrol Cuba. It is organized by the municipal sport office in Caimito and the provincial sport office in Artemisa.

The sports family from Artemisa celebrated their 59th anniversary of the founding of INDER; at Combinado Deportivo # 3 “Francisco Chito Quicutis Mandín”; it was a great party with sports and cultural activities for the enjoyment of all the people in the People Council “La Matilde”.

The Municipal Sport Directorate in Artemisa pays tribute to José Martí, putting his thinking into practice in search of the people’slife quality. 

Artemisa team was crowned provincial first place in Athletics sport in the 11-12 years’ category in both sexes. The final took place on the EIDE Julito Díaz González track. This was the result: 8 athletes from Artemisa were classified in the previous selectionto the national final that will take place in April. The site for the male will be Las Tunas province and the female in Artemisa.

Sport does not stop in San Cristóbal. Developed work balance of sport teachers in the year 2019, analyzing the work and proposing actions to improve the quality of their work this year.
